Into the speechlessness of the last weeks, into the feeling of powerlessness, also the fear speaks the biblical verse for the coming week from the book of Micah in the 6th chapter (verse 8) "It is told you, man, what is good and what the Lord requires of you: to keep nothing but God's word and to practice love and to be humble before your God." and I would like to extend it with words from Psalm 34: "Seek peace, and pursue it." In them it becomes clear how fleeting peace is, fragile and vulnerable, and therefore dependent on us to work for it and to treat each other 'lovingly'.
Sowing hope. Making peace. Sharing love.

Who am I closest to? To my partner or neighbor, to the person on the street or to the children in Sudan?
That's not so easy to answer. Perhaps the best way is to go through my day with this question, "Let's see who I become neighbor to today." And then I let myself and my heart be surprised: Maybe I take time for a friend who is at a loss; maybe I give to the parking lot attendant because I am moved by the situation in the country; maybe, many-many things can happen if I open my eyes and widen my heart.
A warm invitation to the Worship Service, with "something" for children included, @ Goethe-Institut Lagos on Sunday, September 3 at 4 p.m.

We will meet at the entrance at 10am on Sunday and then walk together to the picnic site behind the large playground.
Set free, catch your breath, do nothing, let your soul dangle - there are many words for that special time that has no other purpose than to be free of purpose.
How can we do this? Allow ease? We cannot ignore the fact that the heaviness in this world, sometimes also in our own lives, remains and does not simply vanish into thin air.
A warm invitation to the service during vacation season with coffee and cake

Feeling of freedom - or also uncertainty, where it should go?
What would it be like to live only from trust and hope that everything will be all right?
Sometimes we decide to go for it, sometimes we have to.
In the Bible there are many stories of heading off, of the nomad Abraham, of Jesus' disciples, of Paul, of ordinary people who set off with confidence ... and isn't every journey actually a departure in the hope that everything will be all right?
A warm invitation to the worship service on Sunday, July 9 at 3 pm @ ASHANTI- gallery with "something for children" in it
The sermon text for next Sunday tells the story of Jonah, who gets quite angry and also approaches God in all his anger and all his disappointment and frustration - and God, - God first asks him: Why so angry, Jonah?
Next service we will talk about anger and annoyance, but also about serenity and joy, and what it takes for that.
Welcome:
